DTBHQ is an excellent antioxidant with good light stability. It disperses easily in polymers, having no influence on vulcanization. Its performance, as antioxidant and anti-aging agent, is the same as or better than generally-used products, such as antioxidants 1010, 4010NA, 264, etc. It can be used as light stabilizer in products like paints. 2. Hight safety. DTBHQ is nontoxic, odorless, colorless and pollution-free. 3. Good stability. The melting point of DTBHQ is 212-218 °C, and its boiling point 313 °C. With good thermal stability, compatibility and low volatility, it can improve macromolecule materials' resistance to heat, oxygen, weather and flex cracking. 4. Wide applications. Because of its own characteristics, DTBHQ can be applied in most organic macromolecule polymers and is one of the widest-applied industrial antioxidants. Applications Used as antioxidant, anti-aging agent, polymerization retarder and light stabilizer, DTBHQ can be applied in materials and products as follows: a. Rubber: NR, CR, NBR, EPDM, BP, SBR, etc. b. Synthetic resins and plastics: PVC, PE, PP, PS, PC, ABS, cellulosic resin, etc. c. Coatings, paint, adhesives, lubricating oil, motor oil, photosensitive materials, etc. d. Emulsoid, medical supplies, etc. Application methods It is the same to apply DTBHQ as that of commonly-used antioxidants, anti-aging agents, polymerization retarders and light stabilizers. DTBHQ shows excellent performance when used with anti-aging agent DNP in synthetic rubber. Dosage: 0.1%~2.0%. It could be used together with phosphite ether. Storage and Transportation DTBHQ should be sealed and stored in a cool, dark, dry place, protected from sources of ignition, moisture and heat. It cannot be stored or transported with corrosive or toxic substances.
